I just realized that I have slipped back into one of my favorite ways to pretend I am in control....making LISTS! I've done that several times here and am busy, busy making December lists. Just for fun here's my lists of lists.
Things needing done at the house.
Complete update on prescriptions/doctor visits, inc. vet
Tasks to finish on revised estate plan
Christmas gifts/tasks to do
Organize traveling office
Develop topics for remaining Sunday School sessions
Preparing car for trip
Go thru wardrobe/ clear out some
Determine wardrobe taken to Florida
You get the idea. To a veteran list maker, having that many lists to work on is sheer joy; it means I can pick from a variety of things and get something crossed off a list...the ultimate kick. I know many of you cannot relate to the joy part of this, but my fellow listmakers I am sure are envious.
Now to work!

I am drooling!!! :)
aaaahhhhhhh!!!
I love my lists! I have one list of school-related work activities, one for personal chores, and two for work (for each of my jobs). I love the feeling of crossing items off my list- it's such a feeling of accomplishment. CilliC doesn't get my lists- he gets annoyed/worried that there is always something else that I need to so I never relax. It's true that my lists can get long, but it's because it's my way of not forgetting the work that I need to do. Also, now that I have less schoolwork, I am completing chores that have been on my list for years (I finally got my engagement ring resized in the past couple of months- it needed to be done for 5 years). So my personal chore list is actually shrinking, although he doesn't believe it.
I can't agree more. I actually have a list on my kitchen table started, only to find another one on my desk. Now I have to combine my lists to one list. Rich goes crazy when I mention list - he thinks there are things on there for HIM to do. Well, maybe he's right, but ~~~~
I can't live without a list, even if I don't cross off many things in one day. When I do cross off, then I have to make another list and copy those items from my old list to my new list.
Does anyone understand?!?
UGH!
I am constantly having to re-do my lists. I cross a bunch of chores off, but add more on. I have to redo my primary list about once a week (sometimes more).
I saw the neatest little list-helper at B&N last week. It is a little metal "book" with a pen to hold it closed. It would easily fit in your purse because it small and is filled with paper, so you can make lists where ever you go! And since the outside is metal it would be easy to write on.
